Majority of GP surgeries offering controversial alternative remedies - [Sunday Herald]

Interesting article with figures for the amount of Homeopathic and herbal remadies proscribed by HNS doctors in Scotland.

The main tone of the article is negative with cases cited when herbal remadies have been prescribed together with conventional drugs they may interact with.

As the herbal medicine cited is cranberry which is available on every supermarket shelf I would put the problem firmly in the camp of the conventional drug and ask why the patients on Warfarin and the doctors who prescribe it don't know about the danger of taking cranberry?
